Rootkit-Like Functionality in Security Product

The Register reports that researchers discovered rootkit-like functionality in a security product for enterprise. The process is on a hidden directory according to Trend Micro. The files in this directory may not be detected by antivirus softwares which could be a hiding place for viruses. It is a misguided software design writes Trend Micro to software developers.
